The Mural
The Artist
The mural was designed and built by Miss Sylvia Baxter, who sometimes worked marathon sessions of up to 48 hours on the moulding, colouring, and baking of the ceramic pieces.

Symbolism
The mural represents the Holy Trinity through a rich tapestry of symbols:
- Lips and open book — God's word, "Let there be light"
- Eye — The all-seeing presence, with four compass points
- Stylized dove — The Spirit
- Scale pans and feather — Conscience, light as a feather
- Torch — The light of learning
- Clouds, dry land (Africa), waters, stars, day and night — The natural world and creation
Unveiling
The mural was unveiled by Senator A.E. Trollip on 25 September 1964, in a ceremony that marked another proud milestone in the school's early history.
